Adding a link to your Library is very simple. You can add any link to any website, with no restrictions.

Adding from Redirekt

To add a new link to your Library, please follow the steps according to the operating system where you're using Redirekt.

iOS, iPadOS

  1. Tap on the red "+" button in the top-right corner of the screen.
  2. The "URL" field will be automatically selected: use the keyboard to input the address of your website. Note: you can omit the "http" or "https", as they will be added automatically.
  3. The name field will be populated automatically based on the address you input, but you can also change it by tapping on the field and typing with your keyboard.

macOS

  1. Tap on the grey "+" button in the top-left side of the main Redirekt window's section.
  2. The "URL" field will be automatically selected: use the keyboard to input the address of your website. Note: you can omit the "http" or "https", as they will be added automatically.
  3. The name field will be populated automatically based on the address you input, but you can also change it by tapping on the field and typing with your keyboard.

Additional Fields

You can configure some additional fields already while adding. For example, you can use the "Tags" section to create and attach tags to your link.

You can also already get a preview of which of the configured rule will be applied to your link as you type its address, by looking at the "Rules" section.

Adding from other apps

You can add links to your Library by sharing them from other apps. This feature is currently only available on iOS and iPadOS.

To share a link from another app, follow these steps:

  1. Locate and tap the "Share" button in the 3rd-party app. This button usually has an icon similar to this one:
  2. In the screen that appears (that should look very similar to the one shown just above), locate and tap on Redirekt. Please note that you might have to scroll the apps list horizontally to find Redirekt. If you cannot find it, scroll all the way to the right and tap on "More".
  3. A dialog very similar to the usual "Add Link" screen will be displayed, where you'll be able to customise the link address, its name and the attached tags. Make sure to select "Library" as location, as you can also add links to the Reading List from the same dialog.
  4. Tap "Save".
